What StackCut is

A browser calculator that turns a spend export into a sourced AI savings case. Not a marketplace, not a vendor pitch, not a subscription.

A case from your invoices

Paste a QuickBooks export, CSV, or rows. We detect recurring SaaS from 150+ vendors and map them to 15 replacement scenarios against the dollars you already pay.

Sourced defaults you can change

Every assumption cites a published benchmark. Automation rates, labor cost, and setup fees are sliders. If the math is unflattering, the report says so.

Math that stays in the browser

Expense data never leaves your machine. Preview is free. The full report is a one-time $49 purchase with a 7-day refund.

Four SaaS categories where AI changes the math.

Cledara's 2025 report found companies with 100 to 200 staff waste 34% of their software budget on unused seats and duplicate tools. We analyze 15 categories against your actual spend; here are four of them.

Shawn Yeager, Founder of StackCut

I've sold SaaS, bought it, and seen every line item in between.

Shawn Yeager · Microsoft, NYDIG, CEO at ANKR$300M in revenue across three decades

I've bought a lot of software over the years. CRMs picked off a good demo. Data tools nobody opened twice. An annual Atlassian commitment where a third of the seats ever got used. Every one of them looked justified the day I signed. What the invoices never showed was the hours my team spent working around them, or quietly going back to spreadsheets. That's the number StackCut goes after.

Savings can be negative

If AI replacement costs more than your current tool for a given scenario, the report says so. We'd rather show an unflattering number than lose your trust.

When this won't help

We model 15 categories. If most of your spend sits in infrastructure, payroll, or industry software we don't recognize, there's little here to find. The free preview shows which of your vendors we detected before you pay anything. And if you're partway through annual contracts, the savings are real but they don't land until renewal.

Your data stays local

Every calculation runs client-side in your browser. We don't store, transmit, or see your expense data. Nothing is sent to a server.

FAQ

Before you start

No signup. Your spend data never touches our servers.

How accurate are the savings estimates?

Defaults come from published benchmarks (Intercom, Ardent Partners, HubSpot, Omnisend, and others), and each is labeled with who published it and what they measured, including where the publisher sells the AI in question. You control the automation percentage, setup costs, and hourly rates. The loaded labor rate defaults to $50/hr, rounded up from the BLS civilian average of $48.78/hr.

What if I don't use QuickBooks?

You can paste any tab-separated or comma-separated expense data. If your accounting software exports to Excel or CSV, it'll work. We auto-detect column mappings.

What does it cost?

Previewing your savings report is free. The full report is a one-time $49 purchase: every vendor, all scenarios, the 3-year projection, and a board-ready PDF. There's no subscription, and if it doesn't fit your needs we refund you within 7 days. A Finance edition with an editable model is coming later, along with saved projects and ongoing tracking.

What AI replacements do you recommend?

We don't sell AI tools or take referral fees. We analyze 15 SaaS-to-AI scenarios and show you the financial case. Which vendors you pick is your call.

How long does it take?

Most of the time is reviewing the data and adjusting sliders. The parsing and matching is instant.

What's actually in your stack?

Every figure shows its source, so the case survives the follow-up questions.
